About the Text-based Teaching Sequences

Our Text-based Teaching Sequences are designed to empower teachers and support planning for English in Primary Schools using quality literature to engage children with Reading and Writing. They are practical and informative, aiming to show teachers and schools a way through a text whilst identifying opportunities for grammar and spelling requirements to be covered - however they are not intended to be a substitute for personalised planning, and therefore need to be adapted for each class, according to age and ability.

The information they contain regarding links to National Curriculum 2014 is accurate and up-to-date at the time of publication.
