Local Authority Consultancy

We are bought into Local Authorities and Teaching Alliances to provide training through ongoing courses and to provide keynotes and workshops at conferences. As experienced training providers we offer a range of training which has been devised by ourselves, but draws upon a wealth of research and our own experience. We pride ourselves on developing original resources to share with delegates and we enjoy the creative process of planning ourselves and making our training as engaging as possible with many practical activities, which can be taken straight back into the classroom. Some of the training we have been bought in already for Local Authorities to run in the 2015-16 academic year is listed here:

  • Planning Creatively for Literacy using the New Curriculum (for Y1/2, Y3/4 and Y5/6 as separate sessions)
  • English Subject Leader Network meetings
  • Creatively Developing Grammar in your school (for KS1 and KS2 as separate sessions)
  • KS1 Assessment training
  • Planning for more able at KS1 and KS2
  • Planning for Poetry
  • Planning for Spelling
  • Reading for Pleasure
  • Writing moderation at KS2
  • Writing moderation for KS1

We are also currently working on a KS1 Writing project with a group of schools for a Local Authority.

Last year we lead on assessment working parties to create a document for schools to use after levels for a Local Authority.

If you have a project or request for training in mind then do contact us at info@theliteracytree.co.uk. We love to have a chat about Literacy and to talk about strategies that have had proven impact in other schools.
